Full Job Description

We are now seeking a motivated and engaging Careers Consultancy Support Officer to support USW Careers to enhance service accessibility, build on-campus presence and enhance the number of students proactively planning their career through offering a peer-to-peer student engagement and coaching model.

This peer-to-peer model interacts with learners in a unique way which removes barriers to engagement, supports a 'sense of belonging' and has the potential to support and shape the future delivery of USW Careers services.

As well as responsibility for co-ordinating an on-campus team of student staff, this role will include acting as the first point of contact for USW students seeking careers support, guiding them towards our resources and services and tracking and acting upon student engagement data.

Applicants for this post should be enthusiastic and confident working with students, have interest in the development of student peer-to-peer support and learning; demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills; have experience of a customer facing team environment and possess excellent interpersonal and engagement skills.

This part-time role (27 hours per week) will be based within the USW Careers, Careers and Graduate Development Team, with responsibilities linked to the USW 2030 strategy, USW Careers Annual Plan and USW Differential Outcomes Action Plan.
