You will be the administrative centre of a directorate of over 100 colleagues who work on business performance across the International Education group. You'll plan and deliver an efficient and responsive administrative service, focusing on people, budget, communications, quality and risk management, and effective collaboration and equality. Your work will be in three main areas: 1. supporting the day-to-day work of the Director, dealing with mail, preparing reports, managing diary and timetable, arranging travel, and setting up meetings and following up actions. 2. providing a range of administrative services to help the directorate and its people to collaborate and be productive and inclusive, including record keeping, budget management, internal communications, and emergency planning. 3. helping organise an internal audit programme (part of our quality management system) and arrange hearings for schools to appeal exam results before an independent panel. You'll have the chance to work closely with the Director and managing team, developing the conditions for success of this directorate. You'll also collaborate with, and learn from, friendly colleagues who are expert in a range of disciplines including: equality, diversity, inclusion and belonging; governance and performance reporting; quality and risk management; malpractice inspections and investigations; safeguarding; textbook and resource endorsement; and project and programme management. You'll deputise for the Executive Assistant to the Group Managing Director and network with a team of fellow directorate support managers, each responsible - like you - for their own directorate.

Are you a 'can do' person with well-established organisational and communication skills?, You'll enjoy working with people and finding ways to support them and make them belong. You respect confidential and sensitive information, and can exercise compassion or assertiveness when situations demand. You are a 'can do' person, determined and resourceful to do a good job, customer-focused, calm under pressure and embracing change. You will have a good range of administrative experience, excellent communication and organisation skills, and be able to plan and prioritise in busy situations. You'll have experience as an executive assistant and of effective diary management. If you know about education systems and/ or ISO 9001 (2015) quality management systems, this would be an advantage. You are an advanced user of Microsoft Office and Teams.
