Full Job Description
The Careers Team at New City College are seeking enthusiastic and proactive Careers & HE Advisers to join the team for vacancies at our Havering campuses (Hornchurch, Ardleigh Green and Rainham) and across the group., To provide high quality Careers Information Advice and Guidance (IAG) to students, helping to develop career management skills and enhance their employability opportunities. You will provide IAG to current students guiding them to make informed next step choices.
You will have experience of working in career guidance or a related setting, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to high quality careers service delivery.
You will need to hold a professional qualification in Careers Guidance, ideally at Level 6 or above. However, there may be opportunities for those holding a Level 4 in Careers Guidance to train to Level 6 while working for us. The posts could be available on a full or part-time basis.

Accordingly, all staff will be subject to an 'Enhanced' DBS (formerly CRB) check, along with a Children's Barred List check if in regulated activity. Any offers of appointment may be withdrawn if these checks prove to be unsatisfactory to the College. Self-disclosure will be required as part of the recruitment process. If you fail to make a full disclosure or provide sight of your DBS certificate then your offer of employment is likely to be withdrawn. The College's DBS policy covers the recruitment of ex-offenders which is available upon request.
