Full Job Description
We are seeking a Supply Planner to join our Supply Chain Operations team on a 6-month contract basis. This role is crucial in supporting our ongoing projects and business-as-usual activities. In this role, you will work across Supply Planning and Academic Operations, contributing to key projects and ensuring smooth operations., As Supply Planner, key tasks and responsibilities include:
- Supply Planning: Analyse supplier turnaround times, manage printer loads, assist with Print on Demand distribution, and resolve printer errors and stalled orders.
- New Titles Support: Assist with launch process for new titles and submit print files to Amazon, addressing any errors.
- Print on Demand Management: Manage quote requests and record set-up for Print on Demand.
- Data Validation: Support with the cleanse and validation of digital records to improve data accuracy for over 60,000 products.
- Data Analysis: Identify and correct data inconsistencies across various systems.
- Metadata Quality: Ensure accurate metadata exchange for Academic products and contribute to the integration of print and digital systems.

Your excellent organizational and time management abilities ensure you can handle multiple tasks efficiently. You can work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, and you communicate effectively both in writing and verbally. Ideally, you have experience in supply planning, academic publishing operations, or a related field. You are familiar with metadata management and digital records, and you understand the intricacies of print and digital publishing processes.
