Job purpose
The successful candidate will be supporting a 5-year-old with Autism Spectrum Disorder to grow and learn and to be happy and have fun! I am looking for a reliable, outgoing and caring person to care for me and to allow my family some respite.
About me
I am a fun and outgoing 5-year-old. I have a great personality, and I love being out and about! I have Autism Spectrum Disorder and I really struggle socially. I require a lot of support and guidance as I have very limited understanding. I love Hey Duggee, swimming, going out for walks and going to the park. I also love to draw!
You will be working in a smoke-free environment. I do not have any pets, but I love animals!
You may be asked to support me in your own home. This can be discussed at the point of interview.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
-Helping me to be safe
-Take me to places I enjoy
-Change my nappy
-Support me with personal care
-Doing activities with me
-Support me and ensure all my needs are met
-You will report to my mum as the employer
Experience or understanding of children with additional needs/Autism.

-A positive and fun attitude
Desirable Criteria
-Fun and outgoing
Hours, days and times of work: 3x 2 hour shifts per week or 2x 3 hour shifts per
week to be worked across Wednesday, Thursday and/or Friday.
-Pay rate: £11.44 per hour
-Annual leave: The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to
the work normally done during 5.6 weeks (statutory entitlement).
-Expenses: You will be reimbursed for prior agreed expenses incurred as part of the
role.
-Sick pay: I do not operate a private sick pay scheme but provided you meet the
eligibility criteria, you may be entitled to Statutory Sick Pay (SSP).
-Pension: I do not operate a private pension scheme but I will fulfil my statutory
obligations via the NEST pension scheme.

-Background check: A satisfactory Enhanced with Barred List(s) Disclosure and
Barring Service check is required for this position.

-References: If successful, you will be required to provide details of two referees,

Trial period: This post is subject to a probationary period of 3 months.
