Carer for a child with additional needs RH

We are looking to employ a Personal Assistant to provide support to our Son who has been diagnosed with Autism, Hypermobility, Learning Disability, SATB 2 Syndrome, epilepsy and Bilateral DVD (Dissociated Vertical Deviation) and requires support and gentle prompting with daily tasks.

Current hours

4 hours a week Term Time - Flexible days

10 hours a week in school holidays - Flexible days

3 x 24 hours a month , overnight stays at weekends

The overnights would require you to have a spare room/bed

And currently we are looking for someone to share the overnights with another carer or equally do a Friday /Saturday night but we are flexible .

He loves going out and about to cafes ,shops, parks ,swimming and he also likes chilling with his iPad and toys. He loves to help people and likes to be involved with what you're doing .

He is fine with all pets as we have 2 large dogs.

Support with all personal care - washing /getting dressed /changing pull ups.

Full valid driving license needed.

DBS check

Main Duties will include but not limited to:

· All Personal care needs - toileting/washing/dressing

· Taking out into the community to enjoy activities.

· Preparing meals, The BCP Direct Payments Advice Service is a support service for individuals who are living independently within the community. We are not the person you will work for. You will work for the individual or family we are supporting.

· Previous PA experience in a similar role is essential and knowledge and/or experience of ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­AS is advantageous

· Must have patience, enjoy socialising and be reliable

· Confident to be directive as and when required

· Full, valid driving licence

· DBS Checks will be carried out
