Carer / Personal Assistant / Direct Payments

An enthusiastic, experienced with ASD and flexible Personal Assistant is required to support a fun loving 13 year old Autistic boy to currently access social activities at the weekends, possibly after school if activities allow. He is verbal and attends YBC ASD unit, loves gaming, Sonic the Hedgehog and much more. More details available on application. This post is funded through the Direct Payments Scheme via Bridgend County Borough Council, the family will pay an additional travel expense for journeys outside of the local area. This is a long-term position to ensure continuity. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check, at no cost to the applicant. A portable DBS on the Update System would be advantageous. A full UK driving licence and the use of a car is required, Vehicle Business Insurance is essential for this role (The family will help towards a reasonable cost of this should it incur an additional expense to the applicant), To help support / access the following activities.
