Full Job Description

Post: Caretaker

Reporting to: Site Manager

Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday - Friday, working from 1pm to 7pm each day (52 weeks per year)

Contract: Initial 1-Year Fixed Term Contract with potential to become permanent

Salary: £22,913 per annum FTE, pro rata salary of £18,330.40 per annum

Start Date: To be confirmed

Glenmoor & Winton Academies are seeking a motivated and reliable Caretaker to join our dedicated site team, responsible for maintaining both academy sites. While previous caretaking experience is preferred, it is not essential. The successful candidate will be expected to uphold high standards, work with minimal supervision, and demonstrate flexibility to meet the evolving needs of the Academies. A valid driving license is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance: Under the direction of the Site Manager, you will be responsible for various duties including painting, decorating, general repairs, and site maintenance.

  • Grounds Work: The role includes outdoor work such as gardening and grounds maintenance.

  • Equipment Operation: Familiarity with garden machinery, such as leaf blowers, strimmers, and hedge trimmers, is required.
