Full Job Description

Ensure the building and site are secure
Act as a designated key holder
Winter gritting and path clearing
Cleaning areas within the school
Painting and redecorating
Managing hygiene and cleaning stock in all areas of the school
Carry out maintenance of the indoor and outdoor area, daily health and safety checks and regular fire safety checks
Report defects and faults
Utilise skills and own abilities to carry out repair work across the school site where possible
Supervising cleaning staff

You will be a key member of our school team, and you will need to be flexible and willing to make a difference to the lives of our children.

The shift pattern is as follows:

Split shift
Monday to Thursday:
6.00am to 10.00am
2.30pm to 6.00pm

Friday:
6.00am to 10.00am
2.30pm to 5.30pm

Visits to our school are welcomed and strongly encouraged and can be arranged by contacting our school office.

Due to the retirement of our long serving caretaker, the Governors of St. Stephen's CE Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and proactive person to join our team. We are looking for someone who is reliable, well-organised, has good communication skills and can work flexibly to meet the needs of the school.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the building and site are secure, safe and able to meet our high standards of safeguarding., We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and, if successful, you will need to apply for an enhanced DBS disclosure.
