Caretaker

We are seeking an individual to ensure the school site is secure and that the buildings and grounds are maintained, clean and equipment is well maintained. The successful candidate will also supervise a part time cleaner within the school to ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained. The successful candidate will:

• Ensure buildings and the site are secure.
• Act as the designated key holder for the school premises
• Operate and regularly check systems such as heating, lighting and security
• Arrange regular maintenance and safety checks
• Perform duties in line with health and safety and COSHH regulations.
• Grounds maintenance
• Clean all areas of school, toilets, classrooms, corridors, hall, ensuring that they are kept in a clean, safe and hygienic condition
• Be part of a welcoming and supportive team of staff, parents, carers and governors, The Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and is subject to an enhanced DBS check. An online search will be completed for all shortlisted candidates.
