Caretaker

We are looking for an experienced Caretaker to be part of the Estates Services team providing an efficient estate cleaning service, ensuring our buildings communal areas are maintained in a clean and tidy condition to Gateway standards. You will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for residents and visitors. Your duties will include but not be limited to:

• To deliver an effective cleaning service ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements and established standards.
Duties to include: o to sweep, vacuum and mop floors o to dust ledges, clean wall tiles o to clean windows in corridors o to wash hand rails and woodwork o to sweep external communal areas and car parks o to pick up litter, sweep bin area and disinfect bin chambers o to clean communal entrances, stairs, outside ledges and entrance doors
• To ensure compliance with the Associations Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities and Diversity policies.
• To attend regular team meetings, briefing sessions for staff and staff conference.
• Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and guidelines. Report any potential hazards or safety concerns to the appropriate teams., Simply Health - help towards the costs of dentist, optician, and private medical appointments

  Experience in a caretaking role, preferably in a residential or estate setting.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and practices related to estate services.
• Good communication and customer service skills to interact with residents and address their concerns professionally.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues and external contractors
