Caretaker

We are seeking a committed Pilot Plant Engineer be an integral part of the daily operations at our Fellows Research Centre. This part-time role provides an exciting opportunity for growth and professional development within a dynamic environment. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the opening and closing of the facility, handling general maintenance tasks, and contributing to the organisation and setup of our warehouse and pilot plant. What will you do?

• Maintain the pilot plant and storage areas, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
• Perform general internal and external maintenance tasks.
• Organise and manage stocked items in the warehouse.
• Advise and/or draft health and safety procedures for the pilot plant and storage areas.
• Support the layout planning for the pilot plant.
• Operate pedestrian stackers and electric trucks (training provided).
• General housekeeping, including tidying communal areas and cleaning equipment.
• Receive deliveries and ensure proper storage.

  A good understanding of health and safety procedures.
• A solid background in general repairs, maintenance and problem-solving.
• Experience with opening and shutting down buildings, including managing security systems and alarms.
• Familiarity with pallet stackers, electric trucks, and warehouse operations.
• A track record of working in manufacturing or factory environments is highly desirable.
