Caretaker - Part-time - Special Needs Position

We are looking to recruit a part time Caretaker who is able to multitask in a busy and demanding environment. You will be working with the Senior Caretaker on site and report to the Business Manager., Access to an on-site HR Advisor, who is also a Mental Health First Aider; Fortnightly Supervision for Teachers; Membership of Benenden Health Care; Access to Support Line Counselling; Menopause Support; SLT open door approach; Team Teach Training; Full Time DSL.

We use Restorative Approaches to build and maintain a sense of community and to provide our pupils with the ability and attitude to respect the viewpoints of others and, when necessary, take responsibility for resolving conflict and putting things right.

Previous experience of working within a school environment is desirable, but not essential. You will need to be organised, reliable, able to prioritise work and follow instruction. General site maintenance and security are the main focus of the role. Undertaking security checks, minor repairs, decorating, receiving deliveries and general portage duties are among some of the varied tasks of the role. You should be able to demonstrate your understanding, knowledge and prior experience within these areas.
