Carpenter (Housing)

To work as part of a team assisting in the delivery of the Councils Responsive Maintenance Service carrying out repair and maintenance work on domestic dwellings and related assets This includes work normally accepted within the building industry as that of a Carpenter as well as work which by "normal definition" is that of another trade(s) which may reasonably be expected of any competent person engaged in building maintenance activities

• NVQ/CITB level 2 carpentry
• Previous experience of carrying out maintenance or repair works in domestic / occupied properties
• Good understanding of industry standards and good practice plus how to apply these in the work environment.
• To diagnose the cause of the majority of property defects and determine the appropriate solution
What you will do: Repairs and maintenance on council housing stock - This position has a requirement for a Standard DBS Check
