Full Job Description

As a first line manager, the post holder will be a focal point for staff; providing advice, guidance, motivation, direction and leadership as well as managing rotas, sickness and welfare issues.
Additionally, the post holder will also be expected to fulfil the duties of a Clinical Advisor, and be responsible for Call Audit, clinical decision support use, performance management and clinical quality and governance issues relating to their teams.
CCN's must provide clinical supervision for the NHS Pathways or Pathways Clinical Consultation Support (PaCCS) call triage system. The post holder must be fully licenced and qualified in or be willing to commit to, and successfully complete the full training and mentoring package for either system, and if trained in PaCCS must also complete the Call Handler Support Module.
Applicants must also have excellent communication skills that are adaptable to be able to influence and support direct line reports and form an integral part of the IUC team., The CAS Clinical Navigators are responsible for the oversight and management of safety and risk to our patients within our IUC Contact Centres.
A key part of the role is to maintain oversight of the Trust's awaiting patients, with the capability of managing IUC clinical resources to provide clinical safety assurance and risk mitigation to our patient's.

Please note that the salary range noted on the vacancy is in line with agenda for change (AFC) pay scales. All successful applicants would be placed automatically at the bottom of the banding, unless proven, relevant NHS or equivalent experience can be demonstrated.

Please note, this is a 24/7 role and there is a requirement to work a variety of shifts including evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays. Unsocial hours is payable in addition to the salary quoted, dependent upon working pattern.
