Driver required? No, part of the role is to encourage and support Aisha to use public transport, however Aisha' mother is happy to be the designated driver. Essential Experience: Cheerful, caring and positive attitude, friendly and calm Desirable: Shares similar interests with client, such as shopping, sewing and sports, leisure activities Pets: a small dog Accommodation (while on duty): Family home with living space for Aisha to spend time with her buddy and a washroom Interviews Week Commencing: Interviews will happen on a rolling basis. Start Date: ASAP (subject to satisfactory employment checks) We are seeking an encouraging and motivated Buddy to support Aisha, born in 2007, and lives at home with her parents. she is a delightful young lady who enjoys a range of activities like you tube videos on dancing and make-up, sewing, tennis, swimming, shopping, going to the cinema and theatre, going for coffee and is keen to start some physical activities such as yoga or a rebound class. Aisha has Cerebral Palsy which principally affects her right upper limb, and does present with cognitive delay which seems quite subtle when you first meet her. She is independently mobile and communicates verbally. Aisha does suffer with anxiety. Your role will be to support Aisha with her activities and get involved with Yoga or a Rebound class. Supervising and supporting to access the community to ensure she is kept safe at all times and to reduce her anxiety to assist with navigating social situations. Aisha can have some communication difficulties which affects her socially and emotionally, so support to provide companionship, promote self-esteem, confidence and encourage social and leisure activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated person to join a dedicated home care team and develop existing skills and support this very special young lady. A truly rewarding role for someone who is able to communicate effectively and an ability to work with patience, tact, understanding, warmth and compassion. Pay and Benefits:
- Weekdays: £16.50 per hour, Weekends: £17.50 per hour
- 5.6 weeks annual leave pro rata
- Pension (subject to qualifying status)

- Proof of eligibility to work in the UK;
- Satisfactory references, including your last employer;
- An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Certificate. A conviction will not necessarily prevent you from being employed., Our Case Managers work closely with our Clients, and we carry out all the recruitment processes on behalf of our Clients; and will support you, from your initial telephone interview right through to arranging employer interviews, trial shifts and placement. If you are successfully recruited, you will be employed directly by our client. However, ILS will manage your day to day employment, providing you with the support you need to carry out your role. Working as a Carer or Support Worker for an ILS client means that you will have a dedicated Case Manager to oversee your client's care needs.

- Female due to assisting with personal care when needed
- A Handling Management Plan is available and is designed to reduce the risk of handling injuries, but you may be required to bend, kneel, squat, push or pull (training will be provided).
- Experience with working with Cerebral Palsy and cognitive delay
- Confident and comfortable working in Aisha's own home and sensitive to the needs and wishes of her and her family
- Can demonstrate commitment and passion for meeting Aisha's needs
