Full Job Description

Our team of expert military solicitors help service personnel who need to bring a claim against the MoD due to their failure to adequately protect from illness or avoidable injury. The team advise on a full range of areas, including military deafness and cold and heat injuries. The Role An opportunity has arisen for a case worker to join the team. The role will involve providing day-to-day support and general administration to the group. Duties will include:-

  • Assisting in the preparation of forms in relation to funding, including CFA's and, 'after the event' insurance
  • Dealing with client telephone enquiries
  • Large volume filing and photocopying
  • Operating and updating the case management system
  • Liaising with experts and clients to arrange conferences
  • Chasing clients to obtain required documentation in relation to their claim
  • Taking telephone calls for the department and passing on messages to relevant personnel
  • Co-ordinating, printing and sorting incoming and outgoing work
  • Indexing medical records
  • Scanning medical records into the computer and burning files to CD
  • Assist in sending documentation to medical agents
  • Perusing medical/radiology reports and preparing schedules as required
  • Obtaining medical and radiology reports from GP's, health trusts and boards
  • Providing advice on records management to lawyers

    The successful applicant will have achieved commendable results to general education level. This is a progressive role and would suit individuals with a keen interest in the legal field.
  • The ideal candidate will be IT literate with good interpersonal skills as the role will involve a lot of client contact over the telephone. The ability to work well in a team is essential along with a proactive approach to work ethics.
