Full Job Description
+ We have quarterly whole team meetings, which tend to be held in London and which we like team members to attend in person wherever possible.
+ The Caseworker Support (Band 4) role is central to the efficient working of the Briefing & Correspondence team. Within the team as a whole, a team of Band 4 Caseworker Support officers, managed by a Band 7 Casework Lead and two Band 6 Casework Advisers, is responsible for the management of a number of functional mailboxes (FMBs).
+ It is through these FMBs that correspondence and other casework requests relating to the work of HMPPS are received. The role of the Caseworker Support officers in the FMB team, in relation to each case received, is either to direct it to an appropriate recipient outside the team, or (in the great majority of cases) to log it and allocate it to a caseworker within the Briefing & Correspondence team, who will then prepare a suitable reply.
+ The quality of the work must not be sacrificed in the interests of speed, however, and the ability quickly to become proficient in undertaking the various processes required, and carrying them out to a consistently high standard, is essential.
+ Postholders will also undertake drafting tasks, and must have an eye for detail, so as to be able to develop the skill of preparing drafts that accurately and clearly relay factual information to the intended recipient (in most cases, a member of the public)., We'll assess you against these behaviours during the selection process:
+ Changing and Improving
+ Communicating and Influencing
+ Working Together, This vacancy is using Success Profiles (opens in a new window), and will assess your Behaviours and Strengths.
