Full Job Description

Coppice Café is a friendly, dynamic, growing community café with some great opportunities for the right people. We're looking for new casual members and are in search of people as passionate and dedicated as we are to provide great service and food in a great space. Your Role! The main purpose of this role is to ensure that our customers receive great customer service and become regular users of the café and 300-acre country park. Duties are as follows: Greet customers as they enter. Take orders. Prepare beverages, cakes and snacks. Serve beverages and prepared food items. Make recommendations based on customers' preferences. Up-sell additional products when you take orders. Comply with health and safety regulations regarding food. Stay up to date with new products, display dates and stock rotation. Explain our commitment to locally sourced produce. Clearing and cleaning tables throughout the service. Load and unload dishwasher Assist with all end of day tasks including cleaning chair legs, mopping floor, replenishing stock and cashing up. Assist with event and hospitality enquiries including setting up and assembling equipment for meetings, events and fayres. Assist with training new employees and undertaking further training as required. The normal opening hours of the café are Monday to Sunday 09.45 am to 5pm but can be longer or shorter depending on the season. There are also functions at evenings and weekends.

Be able to work as a team member and individually. Be responsible for maintaining hygiene and follow health and safety procedures. To be punctual, responsible and have a flexible approach to the work at hand. Having reliable transport to Beacon Country Park is essential. Experience: Previous experience is preferred but not essential as a training package will be provided.
