Full Job Description

Be aware of specific needs and preferences from our Service Users.
Keeping cleaning products safely stored as well as ordering cleaning products for the kitchen.
Using a person-centred approach towards our Service Users during meal times.
You will prepare and serve food and drinks to our Service Users.
Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen area is up to the highest standard.

Working towards or holds a relevant NVQ Basic Food Hygiene qualification.
Previous experience of working in a Kitchen environment.
Excellent knowledge of individual dietary needs.
A good understanding of those with challenging behaviours.
Good communication and organisational skills.

The HICA Group are currently recruiting for a passionate Cook/Kitchen Assistant to work on a Casual basis at our home for older people and those living with dementia in Grimsby, Cranwell Court.

The HICA Group do NOT offer sponsorships to Non-UK Nationals., Cranwell Court is a 56 bed Care Home split between a 17 bedded enhanced dementia unit and a 39 bed residential development situated on Cambridge Road in Grimsby. Set in its own beautiful grounds Cranwell Court comprises of a range of spacious , self contained apartments with kitchen and bathroom facilities, giving residents their own front door and private space. We are rated 'Good' by the CQC and bring the very latest in care and facilities for older people into the heart of Grimsby.

HICA Group are a 'Not for Profit' organisation providing a range of care services to older people and people with learning difficulties both within residential and nursing homes and within the community.

Rate of Pay - £11.50 per hour
Shift Pattern - Working to a rota covering 7 days per week (every other weekend)
Casual basis - As and when required
