Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Casual Enablement Care Workers in our Keep Independent Through Enablement Team (KITE).

About KITE:- KITE provides short-term support to people in their own homes, helping them meet set goals and maintain as much independence as possible. Our service is designed for individuals who have been discharged from hospital or whose health and ability has deteriorated. The KITE service is registered and regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). and operates 365 days a year from 7.00 - 22.00

As a Casual Enablement Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in assisting and supporting individuals to build their confidence and become more independent over a time-limited period. You will need to be positive, encouraging, and able to motivate people to work towards agreed goals.

You will work closely with Therapists and Enablement Officers, providing care in the areas of Roehampton, Putney, Earlsfield, Southfields, and Central Wandsworth.

KITE is committed to delivering high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Casual Enablement Care Worker to join our team.

As a casual Enablement Care worker your role will include:

Supporting individuals in their daily activities to regain their independence such as meal preparation, personal care, managing their own medication.

Collaborating with , families, enablement officers, managers, therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a safe, effective, responsive, caring service.

Supporting in developing personalised care plans to meet the specific goals for each individual.

Delivering care in a way which demonstrated compassion, and empathy and which respects the personal dignity of Individuals

Reporting signs of abuse, identified risk to you of the Individual being cared for.

Monitoring and reporting any changes in health status to the appropriate health or social care professionals

NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards and attain this.

Continual professional development by attending training.

Skills

To have excellent communication in both verbal and in writing

To be able to :

Use technology such as smart phone

Motivate people and help to build up their confidence.

Be able identify health and safety concerns in a person's home as well as follow a risk assessment and escalate to staff on duty.

Demonstrate awareness of and respect for people's diverse backgrounds and needs, and a Willingness to find out how meet those needs.

Experience

To have knowledge of the Care Quality Commission Essential Standards

To have some knowledge of the Code of Conduct for Adult Social Care Workers.

To understand of the principles of enablement; supporting and assisting people, rather than doing things for them.

Salary Salary From £16.15-£18.43 Depending on Skills Knowledge and Experience
