Full Job Description

This is an opportunity to work alongside Library staff in providing a diverse and dynamic service to our customers, ensuring all visitors are made welcome. Working alongside our substantive staff you will be providing the public with access to all library services such as baby bounce and rhyme, library clubs, issuing bus passes as well as helping with books. You will be assisting people with their computer sessions as well as taking payments for services and events. This is a flexible role with no set number or pattern of hours. Timing of shifts and locations in the group will be varied.

  • Work collaboratively across several teams.
  • Have a proactive attitude and enthusiasm to solve problems and assist people.
  • Good skills with Microsoft packages, use of tablets and the internet are important.
  • A keenness to learn new skills.
