Full Job Description

This role is on a casual basis and days are flexible. Music lessons run from 3:30pm to 7pm. All new starters are required to attend a compulsory statutory induction training.

The successful candidate will have a passion for music with significant musical experience and capacity to teach to Grade 5 (theory and practical). You'll be an excellent communicator with the ability to motivate and enthuse your students.

New Rickstones Academy is graded 'Good' (November 2023) and has a modern building offering fantastic facilities for both students and staff. Over the last 9 years the academy has seen a huge increase in student numbers, with the number of students on roll more than doubling. The academy is now oversubscribed and our newest building, which opened September 2022, was to meet this demand. New Rickstones Academy is a great place to work with a friendly and supportive staff team. Staff numbers have also increased and the academy is proud to boast high staff retention rates. Staff development is a priority with an extensive and hugely successful CPD (Continuing Professional Development) program to further develop our excellent staff., New Rickstones Academy is a co-educational 11-19 comprehensive, part of Lift Schools. We have approximately 135 staff. The school has modern, state of the art building offering a first class learning and working environment to students and staff. The main building opened in 2012 and a new 2-storey building was added in September 2022 to accommodate our rapidly increasing popularity and student numbers.
