Casual Outdoor Recreation Assistant

We are currently looking to recruit customer orientated, capable support staff to join our friendly team.

Where appropriate training opportunities may be available throughout the season.

You must have a flexible approach to working hours, an ability to communicate and to work as part of a team.

This casual post is on a weekly rota with the majority of the work being at weekends.

Candidate Profile

You will be responsible for dealing with customer enquirers, overseeing formal sports/events bookings at various park sites across the borough, liaising with users, undertaking banking/cashing up duties, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and following health and safety procedures., This post is considered by the authority to be a customer-facing position; as such it falls within scope of the Code of Practice on English language requirement for public sector workers. The council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the JD/Person Specification. These will be applied during the recruitment/selection and probationary stages.
