Full Job Description

  • Responsible for assisting the delivery of sports activities for children and youth ages 5-17.
  • Play a key role in fostering their physical, emotional, and social development through structured programs that encourage
  • participation, skill development, and teamwork.
  • Support the development of an organisational culture that puts our Christian Core Values - Caring, Honesty, Respect and
  • Responsibility - at the centre of all we do. Principal Responsibilities: Program Development and Delivery:
  • Assist sports programs and activities, ensuring a safe, inclusive, enjoyable and fun environment
  • Assist training sessions, games, and tournaments across a range of sports
  • Help set up before activities and set down after activities
  • Help create a friendly, fun & inclusive environment for all members
  • Ensure the safe delivery of activities
  • Coaching and Mentoring:
  • Provide positive and constructive feedback to improve children and youth's sports skills, confidence, and self-discipline
  • Act as a role model and mentor, promoting fair play, sportsmanship, and team spirit
  • Foster a welcoming and supportive environment for children of all abilities
  • Safety and Supervision:
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of participants by adhering to best practices and safety guidelines during all activities
  • Keep line manager informed of any accidents/incidents, and to report any situation, which may be a Health & Safety hazard
  • Help Supervise children and youth during activities and resolving any conflicts or issues that arise and promote a safe and
  • inclusive environment
  • Provide first aid when necessary and ensure that all accidents or incidents are reported
  • Maintain professionalism and professional boundaries with both staff and members
  • Ongoing Development:
  • Actively engage in continual learning to improve coaching skills and delivery
  • Take part in in-house and external training
  • Attend team meetings
