Full Job Description

The Brighton Centre is looking for enthusiastic casual staff to join an established team and assist with the day to day running of events. The role would be suited to someone wanting to experience the operational workings of a venue, with flexible working hours., The Casual Venue Service Assistant will assist in the setting up and breaking down of all events held, in coordination with the venue's diary. This involves the arrangement of furniture and equipment for multiple rooms and will require heavy lifting and a certain amount of physical strength.

Other duties would be the servicing of the event whilst in operation, which would require, emptying dustbins, monitoring of toilets, spillage clearance, hoovering, general cleaning maintenance, and all tasks that assist with the upkeep of the building.

Shifts are allocated in advance, depending on the business needs.

Occasionally back-to-back events will require an overnight shift starting at 22.00.

Training will be provided, and a flexible and positive attitude would be essential.
