Full Job Description

We are looking for a enthusiastic Radiology Fellow to join the team of existing Radiologists working cross site to provide radiology services to Oxfordshire. The post will contribute to the provision and development of these services in conjunction with Radiology and clinical colleagues., The purpose of this post is to provide a broad post CCT training in radiology. The fellow will be expected to: i) work with the consultant and SpRs to fulfil the clinical obligations of the department, ii) participate in research projects, iii) participate in formal and informal teaching.Working for our organisation The post-holder will be expected to keep himself/herself fully up-to-date with their relevant areas of practice. Professional or study leave will be granted at the discretion of the Trust, in line with the prevailing Terms and Conditions of Service, to support appropriate study, postgraduate training activities, relevant CME courses and other appropriate personal development needs. The post holder will be required to work within the Trust's management procedures, both statutory and internal, accepting that the resources available to the Trust are finite and that all clinical practice or workload, or developments requiring additional resources must have prior agreement with the Trust. He/she will undertake the administrative duties associated with the care of his/her patients, and the running of his/her department under the direction of the Clinical Director

  • Full GMC registration, FRCR or equivalent
  • MB BS or equivalent
  • 4 years SPR Radiology training
  • Desirable criteria
  • Additional Higher Medical Degree, Interest in research with publications, Sufficient leadership, organisational, communication, professional and personal skills to effectively undertake the role in Radiology in a large teaching hospital.
  • Good personal and interpersonal skills
  • Experience of teaching undergraduates and trainees
  • Experience of routine clinical audit.
  • Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of the organisation of the NHS and the Government's agenda for its modernisation.
  • Computing skills: ability to use word processor, spreadsheet programme and web browser., You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
