Category Account Manager

At the forefront of modern farming and food production, G's is one of the largest fresh produce providers in the UK, producing over one billion packs of healthy products a year.  We have an exciting new opportunity to join our commercial and category management team based in our Mushroom farm near Ely, Cambs as our Category Account Manager.   The purpose of this role is to assume a lead role in our retail customer relationships and an alignment to our supply strategy, while managing profitable performance and development of customers and categories.  Key Responsibilities for our Category Account Manager: Manage the day-to-day activities of each account, monitoring price, quality, and service   Participate in weekly sales and raw material planning with category and site teams  Produce monthly sales forecasts and manage promotional planning.  Promote, develop, and maintain good relations with Customers, Buyers, and Technologists.  Create long-term and short-term sales and marketing plans for customer key accounts.  Develop profitable trading opportunities in core products and/or complementary lines.  Co-ordinate the development of new products for your customers.  Monitor and control profit and loss in line with KPI's and BU target for customers.  Candidate requirements:  Negotiation and influencing skills.   Strong business acumen.   Excellent Communication and relationship management.   Situational problem-solving skills.  Experience with working with major retailers  Experience in the food and drink industry, fresh produce an advantage.  What we offer:  31 Days holiday per year including bank holidays.  40 hours per week Monday to Friday  Salary sacrifice pension scheme available  Cinema and Sky Store discounts  Supermarket & other retailer discounts  Health Cash Plan  Holiday discounts  Life assurance & income protection  Employee referral scheme  Employee Assistant Programme  Cycle to Work  Eyecare contributions  Electric car salary sacrifice scheme.  Learning, development, and training opportunities including mentoring.  Regular social and charity events  Engagement in local community & early careers events  Onsite health checks, & annual flu jabs  Regular wellbeing sessions  We politely request no contact from recruitment agencies or media sales.
