Full Job Description

The Category Manager will be responsible for developing and managing a range of hard service and data centre service categories to achieve organizational goals. This role involves developing category strategies, leveraging scale effectively, building strong supplier relationships, identifying and introducing market innovations, supporting client solutions, and providing overall value to stakeholders in support of all JLL client managed spend., Develop and execute category strategies to achieve category performance goals and financial targets aligned with business expectations.
Forge key strategic relationships with suppliers and industry leaders, ensuring long-term mutually beneficial objectives and access to supplier innovation.
Segment service providers and supply partners to ensure the best service provision across the category, delivering value to internal and external clients.
Share market intelligence, best practices, and category expertise to improve cost, performance, and overall value for end users., Develop and maintain short, mid, and long-term category strategies aligned with overall business strategy, objectives, and departmental stakeholders.
Create and execute strategic solutions for specific commodity and service requirements, including procurement event planning, RFP/quotation management, bid analysis and recommendations, contract approvals, and savings reporting.
Utilize and enhance supply chain data analytics to assess current state needs, portfolio, and enable more strategic thought leadership.
Rationalize the supply base and develop a clear strategic supply partner framework, maintaining the framework at a senior supplier level.
Utilize market and industry intelligence to identify and qualify new suppliers and support the business in delivering services, while identifying and mitigating risks.
Manage supplier relationships using SRM tools, act as the internal issue resolution point, and review performance regularly.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure procurement strategies align with broader business goals.
Provide functional leadership and alignment within peer groups when appropriate.
Identify opportunities to develop and implement new policies and procedures, including rationalization of legacy policies.
Prepare high-quality papers and presentations for use with internal and external stakeholders.
Apply ethical company standards and ensure the application of Global Procurement policy.

Sourcing Process Expectations:
Develop and execute category plans that provide visibility through supplier summaries, stakeholder engagement plans, contract summaries, and market insights, leading to both short and long-term strategies.
Utilize negotiation skills and proven strategies within responsible spend areas.
Lead the development and execution of all sourcing-related functions, including due diligence, assessment of prospective suppliers, RFPs/bids execution, contract negotiation, and seamless transition to operations during implementation.
Partner with functional leads and the business to drive immediate and sustained benefits to JLL and its clients.
Bring strategic thought leadership to identify additional cost and operational efficiencies.
Proactively manage internal stakeholder expectations and escalate when appropriate.
Track savings and collaborate with sourcing managers and key suppliers to maximize savings impacts.
Conduct supplier performance review meetings, manage supplier scorecards, ensure contract compliance, and fulfill service obligations.
Support a supplier diversity program.
Act as the main point of contact within JLL for category expertise.

Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, or relevant field preferred.
5-7 years of procurement-related experience.
Data Centre experience highly preferred
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
Ability to work on a regional scale and across different time zones.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Proven ability to facilitate strategic supplier relationships with senior business executives and across procurement leadership.
Collaborative and influential style with a focus on teamwork.
