Full Job Description

Hasbro SA, based in Delemont Switzerland, manufactures and sells Hasbro toy and games products around the world. Hasbro European Trading BV ('HET') is Hasbro SA's distributor in Europe, which sells to Hasbro SA's customers in all major European countries. Hasbro International Trading BV ('HIT') is Hasbro SA's distributor for Direct/FOB sales in Europe. Hasbro UK Ltd ('the Company') provides sales, marketing and other services to HET and HIT in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The Category Manager Mass is an integral part of the EMEA Category Management & Insights (CMI) team, supporting Hasbro's ambition to become partner of choice for the trade and to win category captaincies with leading mass retailers like Tesco, ASDA, or Auchan, to ultimately drive further growth for the total toys & games category.

You understand how to establish objective, fact-based category management relationships with customer teams, separate from sales and marketing, by supporting and advising the trade on total category decisions. You have a thorough understanding of retailer strategy and are an expert on shopper attitudes, needs, and behaviors, enabling you to develop triple-win solutions with benefits for the shopper, the retailer, and for Hasbro.

This role oversees the category management agenda for specified mass retailers across EMEA. You will be working collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders, including regional sales and marketing teams, as well as regional and global CMI teams.

You report into the EMEA Senior Category Manager Mass.

A Day In the Life of the EMEA Category Manager Mass:

  • Build and actively manage the relationship with specified EMEA grocery customers.

  • Provide category advice to customers, including omnichannel assortment, shopper-centric merchandising, category promotions & tentpole activations, and long-term category vision.

  • Seek to actively influence the category strategy of top customers, to secure disproportionate wins for Hasbro via increased share of assortment, distribution, and space.

  • Own and manage customer, category, and shopper data & insights for mass customers in the region, including 3rd party data (e.g. Circana, Kantar/Euromonitor).

  • Support Senior Category Manager, e.g., with category presentations for customer previews, customer analysis & reporting.

  • Support range recommendations for mass customers for the entire Hasbro portfolio.

  • Partner with sales team to input category insights into sales plans, e.g., for customer previews, T2T/customer meetings, JBPs.

  • What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or any other relevant field.

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience, preferably in CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods).

  • Expertise and working knowledge in category management is required.

  • Strong numeracy, analytical skills. Able to turn insights into action through clear storytelling.

  • Experience working with retailer data and 3rd party data (e.g. Circana, Kantar/Euromonitor).

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, proven success in customer-facing role.

  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders & projects.

  • Action orientated, self-motivated professional with good business acumen.

  • Strong attention to detail, high level of initiative, with drive for results.
