Full Job Description
We are now recruiting to Catering Assistant at Queens Hospital Burton. We are looking for compassionate, caring, hardworking, flexible team members that are committed to enhancing our patient experience., The main duties of a Catering Assistant working at Burton Hospital are to work as part of Facilities & ward teams to carry out a variety of tasks associated with food preparation, food and beverage service to patients, visitors and staff.
- To deliver good principles of customer care ensuring helpfulness, awareness and compassion to patients, visitors, staff and colleagues.
- Preparation of patient meal trays.
- Service of cold and hot food items with meal delivery to patients.
- Cleaning duties within the kitchen and other associated areas in accordance with departmental cleaning schedules to include equipment, work surfaces crockery and cutlery.
All staff working for UHDB play a key role in the organisation. You must possess excellent Communication skills the ability to work as part of a team and have a can-do attitude., You will ideally possess a good understanding of Mathematics and English. Have a good understanding of customer care and be able to communicate well with patients, staff and visitors. Catering experience and a Food Safety Certificate are desirable but not essential, skills and technical training will be given., Knowledge Essential Basic Numeracy & Literacy Experience Desirable Experience of working in the food industry desirable but not essential Experience Desirable - Experience in cleaning and food handling procedures
- Knowledge of food allergens
