Full Job Description

We are looking for a Catering Assistant to join the College's busy commercial catering outlets. The role involves serving customers, till operation, food preparation, replenishing stock, and ensuring the equipment and premises are cleaned to a high standard. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment while occasionally working under pressure to deliver food efficiently and on time, as part of a team, this is the role for you., The College is exempt from the provisions of the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974, by virtue of the fact that postholders have access to children and young people, and to vulnerable adults. In such circumstances, York College is legally entitled to ask applicants for details of all convictions, and cautions irrespective of whether they are 'spent' or 'unspent'. Hours: 18 hours per week during term time for 36 weeks per year. The working pattern will be over 5 days Monday - Friday Usual hours will be Mon Tues Wed & Friday 10.45am - 14.15pm Thurs 10.30am - 14.30pm. Flexibility is required around the demands of the business. Salary: £8,966 per annum (i.e. £22,090 pro rata per annum). Plus generous benefits. These include:
