Catering Assistant - Kesgrave

Caterlink is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Catering Assistant to join our team in Kesgrave, United Kingdom. As a key member of our catering staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our students receive nutritionally balanced and delicious meals in a friendly and efficient manner.

• Assist in the planning, preparation, and cooking of meals to the required standard
• Ensure food quality, presentation, and service meet our high expectations
• Maintain excellent customer service whilst adhering to strict food safety standards
• Support the efficient running of the kitchen and dining areas
• Collaborate with the catering team to create a positive dining experience for students
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment
• Contribute to menu planning and suggest improvements when appropriate
• Adapt to working across multiple schools in the Suffolk area as required
• Participate in relevant training and development opportunities
  
  Passion for food service and nutrition
• Basic food preparation skills and knowledge of food hygiene practices
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent customer service skills and a friendly demeanour
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible approach to work and willingness to adapt to changing needs
• Team player mentality with strong collaborative skills
• Physical stamina for standing and moving for extended periods
• Own transport and full driving licence (essential for travelling between schools)
• Previous experience in a catering or food service role (desirable)
• Food hygiene certification (desirable, but training can be provided)
