An opportunity has arisen within the Regeneration and Community Services directorate for a Catering Assistant to assist the Cook and/or Assistant Cook in general duties within the kitchen as required.

An opportunity has arisen within the Regeneration and Community Services directorate for a Catering Assistant to work under the supervision of the Cook in Charge and/or Assistant Cook and to assist and carry out any instructions given in the preparation, cooking and serving of food or cleaning away, washing up, cleaning processes or handling of cash.

The purpose of the role of Peripatetic Catering Assistant is to carry out the role at various sites throughout the authority.

You will be prepared to work additional hours or at any reasonable time of day as required in order to ensure the smooth running of the catering unit.

The successful candidate will possess a current Food Safety Level 2 and be willing to undertake any training considered necessary for the post.

Thorough pre-employment screening is undertaken during the recruitment process. The postholder will be required to complete an application for a Disclosure of Criminal Records.
