Full Job Description

  • Support the Catering Tutor with preparing lunches and other meals as required, using biodynamic and organic produce
  • Cleaning food areas, including the dining room, the kitchen and all equipment
  • Serving meals, alongside the Catering Tutor, ensuring presentation is to the required standard
  • Ensure food hygiene and health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times
  • Ordering food under the direction of the Catering Tutor.
  • Flexible and professional approach to work is required

    We are looking for a Catering Assistant to join our college catering team. Ideally you will have experience of working in a catering environment and able to manage and prioritise a varied workload. The successful candidate must have excellent communication, be friendly and be willing to learn and develop. An interactive induction is provided with the opportunity to try out crafts and spend time on our farm. You will have a Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate, or willingness to work towards this.
  • Experience of working with vulnerable young people with learning disabilities would be an advantage, as you will be required to work with students under the supervision of the Catering Tutor.
