Catering Assistant - Trosley Country Park

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Kent County Council, Country Parks team who provide leisure, educational, events, venue hire and café services across 9 Country Parks in Kent.

We seek contracted catering assistants for one of our key sites; Trosley Country Park.

You will be expected to hold or be willing to work towards a Level 2 Hygiene certificate.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with an interest in customer service and catering

The individual needs to be organised with strong customer service skills to ensure that visitors to the parks receive a quality café experience.

You will report to the Catering Services Manager who is responsible for the four Country Park café sites.

There are several roles available, shifts available vary between 12 - 4 and 9 - 4.30. The available shifts are for weekends only with potential to work during week to cover functions or sickness if you are available for these.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
