Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Catering Assistant to join our Bedesway Warehouse Canteen on a part-time 10-hour permanent contract, covering weekends. This role will be key to assisting in the provision of catering services over the weekend in our South Shields Warehouse.,

  • Services provided every Saturday and Sunday are to be made promptly, efficiently and speedily

  • Responsible for the provision of tea, coffee, soft drinks, confectionery and a palatable variety of sandwiches and light bites /teas are to be made available to any member of staff who requires that service

  • To arrange for the vending machines to be adequately stocked from time to time

  • Upon receipt of timely catering request forms to serve at meetings when requested

  • After receiving payment, administer written records, all monies to be kept safe and banked in a secure fashion as agreed from time to time with the Finance Director

  • Stock ordering & rotation

  • Completing all checks/updating all records in line with Health & Safety guidelines

  • Undertake any other reasonable activity, as may be required by senior management

    Experience within a similar role would be an advantage but not essential

  • A valid Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Competent level of customer service skills

  • Smart appearance
