Full Job Description

Sodexo, a trusted partner of the UK Armed Forces for over 40 years, is committed to enhancing the well-being of service personnel across the nation. We collaborate with defence leaders to create a supportive environment for individuals, communities, and military bases. We are currently looking for a Catering, Cleaning & Hospitality Trainer to join our dynamic team, delivering frontline training across our military sites in Hampshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, and Oxfordshire. As a Trainer, you will be pivotal in developing a skilled, passionate workforce across diverse service areas, including catering, retail, cleaning, and Mess services. You will work closely with managers to support and develop their teams, ensuring consistent excellence across the board.,

  • Develop and enhance engaging training materials tailored to our diverse workforce.
  • Deliver practical, task-oriented training directly on-site, rather than in a classroom setting.
  • Adapt your training style to suit the needs of our teams and create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Liaise with site managers to plan and manage training programmes, reporting on progress to senior management.
  • Promote and encourage participation in apprenticeship programmes.
  • Identify potential and support succession planning across the team.
  • Additional Requirements: This position is subject to security clearance, requiring a minimum of 5 years' residency within the UK. Why Join Sodexo?

While a formal training qualification is not essential, you will bring an operational background in soft facilities management or team leadership, along with extensive experience in delivering hands-on, practical training. A passion for developing teams and fostering growth is a must! You will approach the role with passion, empathy, and outstanding interpersonal skills, backed by strong organisational abilities to manage and track progress across multiple sites. While the role is predominantly Monday to Friday, flexibility is key, as there may be times when you need to work unsociable hours to meet the needs of our 24/7 operation. A full UK driving licence is required, as you will be travelling between sites across the region, with occasional overnight stays for training and other business needs. (A company vehicle is provided.)

At Sodexo, we believe working with us is more than just a job - it's an opportunity to make a difference. You'll belong to a team that values your unique skills and perspectives, and you'll thrive in an environment that encourages personal and professional growth.
