Catering Retail Assistant | Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust

The aims of the department are to provide a high quality, customer focused, cost effective, and well-presented service, providing a service to staff, visitors and patients. The post holder will, ensuring the correct and economical use of materials and equipment.

The post holder will be able to work without supervision in a busy Shop, at the stated place of work, but may be asked to work at any of the Trust's Catering outlets should the situation arise.
1. The post holder with be required to;

• Record food and fridge temperatures, accurately and record the information clearly.


• Work on the service counter using good customer service and communication skills to engage with customers.


• Use engagement to drive sales.


• To deal with all phone enquires to the Staff Restaurant, take orders and pass on any enquires they cannot deal with to the Restaurant supervisor, Head Chef or Catering Manager.


• Relay information back to the kitchen regarding orders placed or stock needed


• Take cash and card payment from Customers, balance the till at the end of service, recording all information accurately.


• Work very closely with other members of the small team, and play their part in delivering the best possible service.
