An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Hotel Services Team Leader to work at Berrywood Hospital. Berrywood Hospital has 120 inpatient beds delivering high standards of care requiring freshly cooked food for patients 7 days a week, 365 days per year. Berrywood Hospital also has a cafeteria for patients, staff and visitors, and is committed to providing consistently high quality food and service to staff and visitors. We are looking for a friendly individual that has flair and can provide a good service to our patients and customers., o Responsible for the service provision, cleanliness, supervision and day to day organisation of the staff, patient & visitor catering facility.

o Deputise for other departmental colleagues to maintain Hotel Service function in their absence.

o The Catering Team Leader is a 'hands on' role, and should work as part of the catering team within the integrated Hotel Services department to delivera high quality, flexible and efficient customer focused service.

o Responsible for stock control and budgets.

o Responsible for the training, supervision, welfare, counselling & guidance of the catering staff in order for them to carry out their daily activities & alsoany training due to change and development.

o Be responsible for the induction & training of new staff.

o To complete annual appraisals for all staff and deliver the monthly team brief, communicating all Trust and department news and updates.

o Compilation of duty rotas, holiday entitlement and allocation of work within your team. Ensure that sufficient numbers of staff are on duty at any given time to maintain the service within budget and facilitate the smooth running of the department within area of responsibility. Perform return to work interviews with staff on return from sickness.

o Check completed staff timesheets and clocking in reports, and ensure accurate recording of working hours, sickness and holiday are filled out appropriately and entered correctly on to Trust data system.

NHFT is an integrated primary care and mental health Trust, providing physical, mental health and specialty services in both hospital settings and out in the community. Because we put the person at the centre of all we do, we focus on delivering care that is as easy to access as possible. This means many of our services can be provided at home, work or in schools.We also provide health services to various prisons and detention centres in Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire.

The post involves the "hands on" supervision and leadership of a team within the Berrywood catering Department. You will enjoy plenty of variety in your work, additionally, you will have responsibility for Stores, Delivery service, completing menus, record keeping, staff development and training and running the caf vie.

Hours Per Week: 37.5

Shift pattern: 2 week Rota;

Week one - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday 07.00 - 15.00 (30 Minute unpaid break).

Week two - Monday to Friday 07.00-15.00 (30 Minute unpaid break). Please note: Shift pattern is subject to change
