Full Job Description

Have you got Booking Clerk experience and are you looking to further your career within the NHS? This could be the job for you!, The post holder takes the lead role in managing the outpatient waiting lists and will also be responsible for managing and supervising booking clerks and registration clerks. You must have the ability to plan and coordinate outpatient clinics and you will be required to work in close liaison with senior managers, consultants, patients and the general public. Main duties of the role:

  • To manage a team of Booking Clerks and advise of each speciality when required
  • To have a good understanding and overview of the RTT values and prevent Long waiters
  • Attend weekly meetings in regards to Outpatient clinic performance
  • Ensure the Team are fully utilising all clinic slots
  • Manage the patient phoneline and performance of call answer times
  • Abide by the patient access policy when booking and advising colleagues and patients.
