Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has become available to join our team at Tunbridge Wells Hospital for the role of a band 4 Senior Patient Pathway Coordinator working 37.5hrs per week. We welcome applicants that are motivated and dedicated to providing high standards of patient care.

The post holder takes the lead role in managing the outpatient and Inpatient waiting lists and will also be responsible for managing and supervising booking clerks alongside the Team Leader., You will work as part of the Trauma & Orthopaedics clinical administration unit to coordinate the treatment pathway for outpatient appointments and inpatient waiting lists for paediatric orthopaedic patients to ensure that Government waiting time targets are met.

Your role will include managing and booking outpatient clinics and surgery lists for your consultants, prepping referrals and scan results and liaising with secretaries from our outreach partner Trusts. The successful candidate will help with tracking patient pathways from referral to treatment, monitoring the paediatric orthopaedic PTL and waiting lists.

You would benefit from having knowledge of Allscripts, Theatreman, ERS, Medirota or similar systems plus an awareness of National Patient Access targets.

Experience booking outpatient clinics and theatre lists would also be beneficial, though training will be given on all aspects of the role for the successful candidate.

Exceptional administration experience and organisational skills are essential; along with an excellent telephone manner, knowledge of clinics/theatre lists and waiting lists.
