Full Job Description

Child and family work To deliver good outcomes for children through taking referrals, completing assessments regarding young peoples emotional and mental health needs and creating an effective plan for intervention. To ensure delivery of appropriate services to children and their families, according to their assessed needs. This will include direct interventions based on a range of evidence based therapeutic interventions. To provide individual and group interventions with young people their families and communities. Making decisions and managing risk appropriately regarding effective care planning and pathways. To offer consultation and training and joint working regarding childrens and young peoples emotional and mental health needs. Enhancing skills and knowledge within the partner agencies and across the community. To maintain professional case records, including inputting onto the Departments information systems and accessing information from relevant registers. Producing reports to
a high standard. Partnerships and networking. To contribute to the creation and maintenance of good working relationships at all levels with colleagues in partner agencies, local community groups and other City Council Departments, representing the team at inter-agency meetings as appropriate. To work with effectively with Targetted/ Community (previously Specialist) CAMHS in line with clinical governance and departmental policies. Act as an effective liaison ensuring clear communication between and within childrens services. To work flexibly as a team member in a multi agency team to develop the quality of our services, to improve the mental health and emotional wellbeing of the children and young people in the locality. Being committed to develop and expand skills and therapeutic knowledge to work with a wide range of mental health needs. Accountability. To manage own workload effectively, maintaining appropriate records and preparing and submitting reports as required. To participate
in individual supervision with their mental health specialist and their line manager, as well as undertaking appropriate training and developmental opportunities and attending team meetings as required. To demonstrate commitment and sensitivity to ensuring equality of opportunity in service delivery. To provide the highest standards of safeguarding to children young people/vulnerable adults who access our services, adhering to NCC's safeguarding polices and procedures.
