Full Job Description

We are pleased to be recruiting a Qualified CBT Therapist within our Mental Health in Schools Team (MHST). We work dynamically and creatively with our local schools and colleges to support pupils, families and education staff with a focus on prevention and an early intervention stage within their wellbeing journey.

Southampton MHST offers city-wide coverage for its schools and colleges, where the teams will work within education settings to provide early intervention and prevention work for mild to moderate mental health issues and provide support to staff in schools and colleges. Teams also act as a link with local children and young people's mental health services., The clinical team structure of the MHST consists of qualified EMHPs, EMHP Supervisors, Senior Wellbeing Practitioner trainees and CBT Therapists. The team also comprises of the Team Manager, Clinical lead, and Team Leads, offering strong leadership and governance structures within the team.

We are looking for candidates who have completed their training in High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and who has BABCP accreditation or can evidence working towards accreditation. The successful candidate will deliver outcome focused, evidence-based interventions in educational settings for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.

The post holder will work as part of a dynamic mental health team in a creative environment where evidence-based interventions, new ideas, ways of working and supporting children and young people are actively encouraged.
