Full Job Description

This role is integral to supporting part of the Government's agenda to level up the regions by moving 22,000 Civil Servant roles out of London under the Places for Growth agenda. The CDE Document Officer will play a key role in ensuring all those involved in delivery of Capital Projects follow the correct standards and requirements of our buildings' information management from design to operation. The CDE Document Officer will work alongside external partners, supporting submission, review and approval of project documentation in line with contractual obligations. This will involve managing the internal EDMS system in line with GPA processes and standards and providing relevant support to external partners where applicable The CDE Document Officer will be responsible for advising and making recommendations to Directors of Capital Projects and Workplace Services in relation to document data quality and completeness of documents for individual projects.,

  • The management of the document control system in line with GPA standards and processes
  • Exchanging information with the supply chain where appropriate and accepting the exchange of information
  • Distributing Transmittals to relevant stakeholders in line with GPA standards and processes when required
  • Supporting and setting up document control work flows so stakeholders are able to complete document workflows
  • Ensuring the document control numbering standard is adhered to and provides support to the supply chain to ensure any issues are dealt with and escalated.
  • Ensuring metadata is completed in line with the EDMS requirements to support the GPA business.
