Full Job Description

As our Customer Delivery Porter you will maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety regulations in our customers' homes. This non-driver role will be a great opportunity for Partners who are looking to develop their career in the Customer Delivery Hub. You will need to complete a 13 week Porter training programme, once completed, you will be able to successfully install product assembly, wet connections, TV and Advance Audio Installations. Please note this role involves heavy lifting. During the 13 week training programme you will attend different training course to learn:

  • TV & Advanced Audio Installation
  • Product Assembly
  • Wet Connection Installation
  • At the end of the 13 weeks you will be assessed on the above elements to obtain your Porter qualification. What you will be doing as our Porter: Your typical day will start with safely loading your vehicle. You will Support the driver to complete the standard installation and assembly services (including disconnection) of free standing appliances, standard TVs and furniture in customers' homes in a safe, competent manner aligned to the site operating procedures. Communication with your customers is key and you will need to ensure you call every customer 30 minutes before you are due to arrive. Upon arrival you will deliver the customers goods to their room of choice and undertake any services that have been booked. These may include: Installation and disconnection of white goods, assembly of flat pack, TV installations. Finally, you will offer to take away the packaging. Please note that you will need to report any incidents/accidents that may occur immediately to the CDH Management Team and act as in a professional manner towards other road users whilst being a passenger on route.

    Full - time working holiday entitlement 18 days holiday, plus public and bank holidays (this is prorated for part time hours).
