Full Job Description
Nuclear Power Programmes are delivering client critical works to some of our major UK and European Projects. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (New build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland's first Nuclear Power station. We are seeking CDM Technical Coordinator (Principal Contractor) supporting the HPC project in the South West. The successful candidates will be expected to have knowledge and experience in several of the following areas:
- Oversight of construction delivery work packs 6 months prior to construction.
- Liaise with Client & Principal Designer on matters relating to construction safety
- Manage Principal Contractor CDM compliance programme
- Support Principal Contractor delivery functions, including: (but not restricted to); Temporary Works,Fire & Emergency Preparedness, Construction Delivery, Marine Works, Site Operations, Employment Affairs Unit.
- Ensure timely delivery of Safety Standards audit schedule.
- Review and acceptance of a range of contractor safety related documents, including RAMS, procedures and safety standards.
- Technical review of Principal Contractor safety standards and procedures.
- Production & delivery of CDM related training material.
- Construction related degree, HND Building, civil engineering
- Chartered membership: CIOB; ICE; IMECHE
- Technical Member: IOSH
- Member: Association for Project Safe Design and engineering hazard reviews and assessment of risk.
- Applying the Principles of Prevention during the pre-construction and construction phase.
- Working knowledge of heavy civils
- Experience with bulk mechanical erection
