Full Job Description
As a Centre Cover Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
Providing 24-hour emergency aid cover for residential, education, and day services.
Delivering evidence-based nursing care to people with complex support needs.
Working alongside our Primary Health Care Team and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to care.
A Registered Nursing Qualification (or equivalent) and be a member of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) (Essential).
Knowledge and experience in conditions such as epilepsy, autism, learning disabilities, or other neurological conditions (Essential).
Competency in NEWS2 (National Early Warning Scoring) to assess the severity of conditions (Essential).
The ability to competently manage wounds in line with Cheshire Wound Care Guidance (Essential).
Venepuncture skills (essential), and experience in ECG recordings, ear irrigation, and immunisations (desirable).
Desirable Additional Qualifications
Willingness to work towards a Non-Medical Prescribing Qualification.
