Are you looking for your next challenge? Do you want a role that is rewarding? We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Centre Manager to join the team at Mid Devon Leisure. We are looking for a Centre Manager to work closely with our Business Managers & Operations Manager to successfully operate our portfolio of leisure facilities within a large team across all areas of the business. As a Centre Manager your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring the highest standards of product and service delivery
  • Being the key accountable person for the site operations, ensuring the building is ready for use by customers and that staff undertaking duties as required to provide the efficient, clean and safe operation of services.
  • Working with the wider management team in the setting of sales targets and the identification of new business and sales strategies to further develop income streams to the facility
  • Working in collaboration within the Duty Officers in order to identify & resolve operational issues. Communicate strategic direction to the operational teams whilst managing and organising the Duty Officer teams to meet service expectations and standards, including the management of the optimum deployment of staffing to fulfil operational requirements.
  • Leading on the normal operating procedures, emergency action plans, business continuity plans and risk management processes of the facilities activities and teams. Working directly with the Corporate Health & Safety Officer to continuously review the risk reduction plans

    Demonstrable operational experience in a leisure facility
  • Level 3 qualification in leadership and management, team leading or equivalent
  • Experience in operating leisure management systems, and working within a front of house environment.
  • Outstanding ability to build rapport
  • Outstanding communication and negotiating skills, excellent problem solving skills
  • Sound knowledge of Health and Safety.
