Full Job Description

  • Managing the plan approval programme, including the coordination of submissions to Lloyds Register and overseeing to closer the Lloyd's Register Plan Approval documents
  • Co-ordinating Certification submissions from Design Teams to the Canadian Naval Material Regulatory Authority
  • Reviewing suppliers documentation and component certification to ensure compliance with the Lloyd's Register Naval Ships Rules
  • Handling the Tailoring/Deviation applications through to acceptance from Lloyd's Register Canada
  • Maintaining the Certification Standards Plan

    Experience working with certification authorities
  • Understanding of design, build and commissioning lifecycle and processes of complex large scale systems
  • Good knowledge of classification society rules, e.g. Lloyds, DNV, any other relevant classifications
  • Desirable:
  • Knowledge of ANEP 77
  • Previously worked with Naval Authorities
  • Applicants should ideally be Degree qualified or have equivalent experience, likely to be in a technology, engineering, science or IT related discipline. Applicants should be a Chartered Engineer or hold another equivalent professional registration with a relevant institution.

The Safety Certification team: An exciting opportunity to get involved in the long-term international programme for the Canadian River Class Destroyer (RCD). You will be reporting directly into the Product Safety Manager and be working alongside various levels of Safety Engineers and Certification professionals, along with working across all of the engineering delivery teams.
